1. Bhanu Athaiya - Won oscar for best costume design in 1982 AD.
Bhanu Athaiya was born Bhanumati Annasaheb Rajopadhye in Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India on the 28th of April. She started her career as a fashion illustrator with various women's magazines in Bombay, including the 'Eve's Weekly' ; later when its editor opened a boutique, she asked Bhanu to try designing dresses, hereupon she discovered her flair for designing clothes, her success as a designer soon led to her switching career paths , where Guru Dutt asked her design clothes for his films, start with C.I.D.
2. Satyajit Ray- Won oscar for honorary Academy Award in 1991 AD.
Satyajit Ray was an Indian Bengali filmmaker. He is regarded as one of the greatest auteurs of 20th century cinema. Ray was born in the city of Calcutta (now Kolkata) into a Bengali family prominent in the world of arts and literature. Starting his career as a commercial artist, Ray was drawn into independent filmmaking after meeting French filmmaker Jean Renoir and viewing the Italian neorealist film Bicycle Thieves during a visit to London.
3. AR Rahman- Won oscar for best music (SLUMDOG MILLIONIARE) in 1982 AD.
A. R. Rahman was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to a musically affluent Mudaliar Tamil family. His father R. K. Shekhar, was a Chennai based composer and conductor for Malayalam films.In 1992, Rahman began his own music recording and mixing studio attached to the backyard of his house called the Panchathan Record Inn, which was developed into India's most advanced recording studio. He initially composed music jingles for advertisements, Indian Television channels and music scores in documentaries, among other projects.
4. Russell Pookutty won oscar for Best Sound Mixing(SLUMDOG MILLIONIARE) in 2008 AD.
Born in a Muslim family in Vilakkupara, Anchal about 58 km from Kollam, Kerala. He was the youngest of eight children born to an impoverished family. His father was a private bus ticket checker. Pookutty had to walk 6 km to the nearest school and study in the light of a kerosene lamp as his village had no electricity.Pookutty made his debut in sound design with the 1997 film Private Detective: Two Plus Two Plus One, directed by Rajat Kapoor.
5 . Gulzar won oscar for Best Song lyrics (SLUMDOG MILLIONIARE) in 2008 AD.
Gulzar was born in a Kalra Arora Sikh family, to Makhan Singh Kalra and Sujan Kaur, in Dina, Jhelum District, Pakistan.Gulzar is best known in India as a lyricist for songs that form an integral part of Indian movies. He began his career under the film directors Bimal Roy and Hrishikesh Mukherjee. His book Ravi Paar has a narrative of Bimal Roy and the agony of creation.

It is located at Dalal Street, Mumbai, India. On Feb, 2010, the equity market capitalization of the companies listed on the BSE was US$1.28 trillion, making it the largest stock exchange in South Asia and the 12th largest in the world.
NSE- National Stock Exchange (NSE) is a stock exchange located at Mumbai, India. It is the largest stock exchange in India in terms of daily turnover and number of trades, for both equities and derivative trading. NSE has a market capitalization of around Rs 47,01,923 crore (7 August 2009) and is expected to become the biggest stock exchange in India in terms of market capitalization by 2009 end.
SENSEX- Sensex is an index of the BSE. It is an indicator of all the major companies of the BSE. If the it goes up, it means that the prices of the stocks of most of the major companies on the BSE have gone up. If the Sensex goes down, this tells you that the stock price of most of the major stocks on the BSE have gone down.
NIFTY- Nifty is an index of the NSE. It is an indicator of all the major companies of the NSE. If it goes up, it means that the prices of the stocks of most of the major companies on the NSE have gone up. If the Nifty goes down, this tells you that the stock price of most of the major stocks on the BSE have gone down.
