Shinkansen is the fastest train of the world. It had made world record by running at the speed of 581 km/hr. So conventionally it is also called bullet train. Shinkansen literally means new trunk line, referring to the tracks, but the name is widely used inside and outside Japan to refer to the trains as well as the system as a whole.

During the Shinkansen's 45-year, nearly 7 billion-passenger history, there have been no passenger fatalities due to derailments or collisions, despite frequent earthquakes and typhoons. Injuries and a single fatality have been caused by doors closing on passengers or their belongings; attendants are employed at platforms to prevent such mishaps.

Mount Everest is so famous for being so high that you've probably heard of it before.
